Introduction

UW-Stout’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) is designed to provide graduates with core business skills in management, finance, marketing, sales, international business, operations, human resources, business analytics, and accounting. Our on-campus polytechnic applied learning curriculum and off-campus internship gives students a competitive advantage in the professional environment.

Total for Graduation:     120 credits  
Stout Core: 40 credits  
Major Studies: 80 credits  

Program Requirements


Stout Core (40 credits)


Analytical Reasoning and Natural Sciences (10 credits)


Arts and Humanities (6 credits)


Courses must be selected from the list of approved arts and humanities courses.

Social and Behavioral Sciences (6 credits)


Courses must be selected from the list of approved social and behavioral sciences courses.

Social Responsibility and Ethical Reasoning (3 credits)


Courses must be selected from the list of approved social responsibility and ethical reasoning courses.

Electives to reach 40 Stout Core credits


Courses/credits may be selected from any Stout Core category to meet the 40-credit requirement.

Students must also take courses with the following designations:


Racial and Ethnic Studies (2 courses)


Recommend taking your Racial and Ethnic Studies courses in the Stout Core.

Global Perspectives (2 courses)


Courses from the Business Administration Program requirements will automatically meet the Global Perspective requirement.

Major Studies


Minimum cumumulative GPA of 2.5 required for these courses.
